Apple Crumble
Ingredients
1.5kg apples (cooking apples are great for it)
Juice from half of an orange
175g caster sugar
1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon (optional)
100g plain flour
100g oats
100g of butter
A small piece of stem ginger, finely grated (optional)

Method
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C
2. Peel the apples and cut them into chunky pieces
3. Put the apples in a pan with 75g of sugar, the cinnamon, and the orange juice and cook on low heat until the fruit has softened slightly. Transfer into an ovenproof dish.
4. Place the flour and oats in a mixing bowl. Chop the butter into small cubes and add to the flour and oats. Rub in with your fingers tips until you get a crumble texture.
5. Add the remaining sugar and ginger and mix with the crumble mix. Cover the fruit with it.
6. Bake for around 20minutes or until golden brown
